Windows 8: Failed to change remote desktop port number I have already set the firewall to allow the new port number and reboot the computer. I can't use the new port no. to connect but the port 3389 is still working. Seems the solution is not working for Win 8. Vagrant port forwarding not working on Windows 8 - Stack I ran vagrant up --debug and looked closely at the port forwarding section. I noticed it was writing to the Windows NAT configuration file and found where that file is located. The forwarded port (now 8080) is mentioned nowhere in the debug output nor in the file itself.
